While traveling around the country interviewing for jobs, a classmate of mine and I realized we were wasting money riding in cabs alone. We thought this could be a bigger problem, so we conceptualized a taxi-sharing solution that directly connects people through a mobile app and allows them to coordinate rides and split fares independent from taxi companies. I designed and animated this video to pitch the concept.
Grab a cab now, or later - Enter your destination and let CabPool know if you need a cab now or later
Auto-populate your information - Since you need a cab later, enter your flight information and CabPool will automatically populate results.
Find your best match - CabPool will generate a list of best matches based on how long you are willing to wait for another CabPooler.
In-App Chat - Chat with your best match to arrange things like time, location, etc. When you've found the perfect match tap 'CabPool' to commit to the ride.
Ride-Along Dashboard - Once you're on the road get live updates on your fare, how much your saving, and your current route. Once you've arrived, use CabPool to bump payment to other CabPoolers and rate how the ride went.
Automatic Notifications - When you are on queue to share a ride, get pop-up notifications when another user wants to CabPool with you.
